Ground transportation technology and services provider FOD Mobility Group, has announced the signing of a five-year contract extension with the RAC to continue providing its white label GT Suite SaaS platform.

The collaboration between the two businesses began in 2012, when FOD was appointed to design and develop a bespoke version of its GT Suite technology to power the RAC’s new Business Club platform.

Business Club was launched in April 2013 as a free fleet management tool for RAC business customers to manage their vehicles and drivers online through a fully configurable self-service platform. The RAC-branded solution provided their three core products at the time – breakdown services, fuel cards, and telematics.

Since then the platform has been continuously developed to include new supplier integrations, and a range of fully integrated services. This includes tyre replacement in partnership with ATS, servicing and repairs offered through the RAC Approved Garage Network, windscreen repairs via Autoglass, vehicle leasing services, insurance cover, licence checking, and automated alerts.

Business Club also includes an onward travel service for RAC customers offering alternative transportation to keep them moving if their vehicle breaks down and cannot be repaired on the spot. The travel options include hire cars and taxi services that can be booked and managed within the platform through FOD’s established network of trusted suppliers located throughout the UK.

RAC customers can access all their Business Club services via an intuitive Customer User interface (CUI), whilst RAC employees have a separate Operator User Interface (OUI) that allows them to manage travel and service bookings for customers, administer billing and payments, and access a detailed management reporting suite.

Matt Heald, Interim-CEO/COO at FOD Mobility Group, commented:

"At FOD, we value our long-term partnerships with our customers and are delighted that GT Suite will continue to power the RAC Business Club platform for another five years. This extended agreement further strengthens the longstanding collaboration between our two companies and underlines our position as a trusted and reliable provider of bespoke ground transportation technology and services.
“Since its initial release in 2011, we have invested heavily in GT Suite to transform it into a scalable SaaS solution that helps our customers increase efficiency, lower costs, reduce risk, and benefit from providing a tailor-made, user-friendly digital experience to their own customers or employees.”

RAC’s Head of Product & Consumer Duty, Helen Smith, added:

“FOD has provided the technology and expertise to support our operations since the launch of our Business Club platform over 12 years ago. Since that time, we have seen significant growth in the number of customers who rely on the system to keep their business moving, in addition to a host of new services, functionality and supplier integrations.
“This important contract renewal reflects our ongoing commitment to deliver the highest levels of service to our customers, and we look forward to continuing the future development and evolution of our Business Club service, with FOD by our side.”
