Fleetondemand has just completed the strategic acquisition of Buckinghamshire-based vehicle management company FleetEurope.
This significant deal, funded by our long-term investment partner BGF, will allow us to accelerate the growth of our MaaS solutions within the vehicle hire sector, through the provision of Mobilleo to FleetEurope’s long-established, blue-chip client base.
The fit between our two companies is excellent. FleetEurope has been a customer of ours since 2012 and is a well-established player within the fleet sector, offering multi-award winning vehicle rental, leasing and fleet management services to UK businesses.
FleetEurope has achieved unprecedented levels of growth in recent years under the expert guidance of its chief operating officer Joe Howick, which was influential in our decision to acquire the business.
Both companies also share very similar core business philosophies and cultures and are renowned for delivering best-in-class customer service and technology. This acquisition made perfect sense, allowing us to strengthen our existing partnership and fuel our ambitious growth plans.
The combined business will create a powerful suite of Mobility as a Service (MaaS) technology solutions and services for UK and international businesses, in addition to consolidating our existing supplier partnerships with the UK’s major vehicle rental companies, and a wide range of local, regional and specialist rental suppliers.
Our customers will now benefit from combined access to the UK’s largest vehicle rental fleet of over 600,000 vehicles from 2,200 branch locations nationwide, using Fleetondemand’s award-winning vehicle rental platform.
The business will continue to be led by Fleetondemand’s experienced executive board, including non-executive chairman Andrew Cope, chief financial officer Nicola Sharp, Operations Director Matthew Heald and myself as chief executive officer. FleetEurope’s chief operating officer Joe Howick will be joining the team with responsibility for the commercial operations and brings with him over 23 years’ experience within the fleet industry.
Maintaining our reputation for delivering customer service excellence is our top priority, so it will be very much a case of business as usual for our staff and customers as we integrate the two businesses over the coming months.
