Fleetondemand’s CEO and Founder, Justin Whitston, was announced winner of the Inflexion Entrepreneur of the Year award at the prestigious 2020 Lloyds Bank National Business Awards, which took place during a glittering online ceremony on 10th November.

Focusing on the contribution of a dynamic, creative and visionary leader, the Award recognises an enterprising individual who has achieved sustained levels of growth and strong financial performance through a culture of innovation, resilience and an ethos of inspiring others through their leadership style.

David Whileman, Partner at Inflexion said: “On behalf of Inflexion, I would like to offer our heartfelt congratulations to Justin on winning the Inflexion Entrepreneur of the Year award. Justin is a serial entrepreneur, having created several businesses of value from an early age. The judges were blown away by Justin’s tenacity and innovation and we can’t wait to see what the future has in store for Justin and the Fleetondemand team.”

Yorkshire-based Fleetondemand was established by Justin in 2012 and has grown rapidly to become a leading global business vehicle hire and mobility company powered by Mobilleo, the most advanced technology platform in today’s market.

Fleetondemand recently completed the successful integration of vehicle management company FleetEurope, which it acquired in August 2019. This integration, combined with support from long-term investment partner BGF, has contributed to Fleetondemand’s expansion into the European market this year. The first phase of its European growth strategy includes an initial presence in France, Belgium, Germany, Spain and The Netherlands.

Justin commented: “I am enormously proud to have won a Lloyds Bank National Business Award. This award represents all the hard work and dedication of the Fleetondemand team in driving the business forward, despite the challenges we’ve faced over the last 12 months. We’re looking forward to some very exciting times ahead of us.”

Previous winners include fitness sensation Joe Wicks, Timpson CEO James Timpson OBE, DPD UK, Hotel Chocolat, dementia newspaper Daily Sparkle and online fast fashion success story Missguided.

Sarah Austin, Awards Director added: “2020 has been a challenging but inspiring year; a year where we’ve witnessed just how innovative and adaptive the UK business community can be, whether that means helping employees adjust to new ways of working or shifting production towards masks, ventilators and handwash. This year’s winners are testament to the creativity, agility and resilience that sets British business apart,” said.

“When it comes to business recognition, the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards really are the ones to win, allowing successful individuals and organisations to tell their story, from large private and public companies, to thriving entrepreneurial businesses, promising start-ups and established SMEs, and what fantastic stories they are.”
